In recent years, various refractory ceramic fiber products have been used more and more in high-temperature industrial furnaces as high-temperature thermal insulation material. The application of refractory ceramic fiber linings in various industrial furnaces can save 20%-40% of energy. The physical properties of refractory ceramic fiber products can reduce the masonry weight of the industrial kiln, and make the construction simple and convenient, and reduce labor intensity, improve work efficiency.
Application of refractory ceramic fiber in ceramic furnaces
(1) Filling and sealing material
The expansion joints of the kiln, the gaps of metal parts, the holes of the rotating parts of the two ends of the roller kiln, the joints of the ceiling kiln, the kiln car and the joints can be filled or sealed with ceramic fiber materials.
(2) Outer insulation material
Ceramic kilns mostly use loose refractory ceramic fiber wool or ceramic fiber felt (board) as thermal insulation materials, which can reduce the thickness of the kiln wall and reduce the surface temperature of the external kiln wall. The fiber itself has elasticity, which can alleviate the brick wall expansion stress under heating, improve the air tightness of the kiln. The heat capacity of refractory ceramic fiber is small, which is helpful for rapid firing.
(3) Lining material
Choose appropriate refractory ceramic fiber as the lining material according to the different temperature requirements has following advantages: the thickness of the kiln wall is reduced, the kiln weight is reduced, the heating rate of the kiln especially the intermittent kiln is accelerated, the kiln masonry material and cost is saved. Save kiln heating time which can make kiln into production quickly. Prolong the service life of the outer layer of masonry of kiln.
(4) For use in full fiber kilns
That is, both the kiln wall and the furnace lining are made of refractory ceramic fiber. The heat capacity of the refractory ceramic fiber lining is only 1/10-1/30 of the brick lining, and the weight is 1/10-1/20 of the brick. So the weight of the furnace body can be reduced, the structural cost can be reduced, and the firing speed can be accelerated.
