Lightweight mullite insulation bricks and refractory bricks are commonly used refractory and insulation materials in kilns and various high-temperature equipment. Although they are both bricks, their performance and application are completely different. Today, we will introduce the main functions and differences between the two.
Lightweight mullite insulation bricks are mainly used to provide insulation and reduce heat loss. Lightweight mullite insulation bricks generally do not directly contact with flames, while refractory bricks generally directly contact with flames. Refractory bricks are mainly used to withstand the flames. It is generally divided into two types, namely unshaped refractory materials and shaped refractory materials.
Generally, shaped refractory materials are refractory bricks, which have standard shapes and can be processed or cut during construction if needed.
Next issue, will we continue to introduce whether to choose lightweight mullite insulation bricks or refractory bricks when building furnaces. Please stay tuned!
