Due to the high production cost of insulation ceramic fiber, the current application of insulation ceramic fiber is mainly in the field of industrial production, and not much in the field of construction. Insulation ceramic fiber is mainly used as the lining and thermal insulation materials of various industrial furnaces, and can also be used as heat-resistant reinforcement materials and high-temperature filter materials.
As a lining material, it can be used for thermal insulation lining of atomic energy reactors, industrial kilns, metallurgical furnaces, petrochemical reaction devices, and thermal insulation linings of metal material heat treatment furnaces, ceramic biscuit kilns, etc.
Existing thermal insulation lining structures include insulation ceramic fiber veneer lining, insulation ceramic fiber board/ insulation ceramic fiber blanket lining, refractory fiber castable lining, prefabricated modular fiber lining, refractory fiber spray lining, refractory fiber castable lining, etc. As a thermal insulation material, insulation ceramic fiber can be used for filling and thermal insulation of industrial furnace walls, filling and thermal insulation between furnace wall refractory fire bricks and insulation bricks, thermal insulation of aircraft jet ducts, jet engines and other high-temperature pipelines, welding parts of cold large-diameter steel pipes and bending of large-diameter pipes, etc. In addition, insulation ceramic fiber can also be used for thermal insulation of long-distance gas supply pipelines. Test studies have shown that when high-quality insulation ceramic fibers are used for thermal insulation, when the thickness of the thermal insulation layer is not less than 180mm, it can meet the requirements of f530mm×20mm long-distance gas supply pipeline thermal insulation.
