The purpose of the insulation material used in the regenerator of the glass melting furnace is to slow down the heat dissipation and achieve the effect of energy saving and heat preservation. At present, there are mainly four types of thermal insulation materials used, namely lightweight clay insulation brick, aluminum silicate fiberboards, lightweight calcium silicate boards, and thermal insulation coatings.
1. Lightweight clay insulation brick
The insulation layer built with lightweight clay insulation brick, can be built at the same time as the outer wall of the regenerator, or after the kiln is baked. Other insulation layer can also be added to the outer surface of furnace to achieve better energy-saving and thermal insulation effects.
2. Light calcium silicate board
Installation of lightweight calcium silicate boards is weld angle steels at intervals between the columns of the external wall of the regenerator, and the lightweight calcium silicate boards are inserted between the angle steels one by one, and the thickness is one layer of calcium slicate board (50mm).
