The heat consumption of industrial kilns through the furnace body generally accounts for about 22%-43% of fuel and electric energy consumption. This huge data is directly related to the cost of product. In order to reduce costs and meet the requirement of environmental protection and resource conservation, lightweight insulation fire bricks have become a favored product in the industrial high-temperature kiln industry.
Lightweight insulation fire bricks are lightweight refractory insulation materials with high porosity, low bulk density and low thermal conductivity. Lightweight refractory bricks have a porous structure (the porosity is generally 40%-85%) and high thermal insulation performance.
The use of insulation fire bricks saves fuel consumption, greatly reduces the heating and cooling time of the kiln, and improves the production efficiency of the kiln. Due to the light weight of insulation fire bricks, it saves time and labor during the construction, and greatly reduces the weight of the furnace body. However, due to the high porosity of lightweight insulating bricks, its internal structure is relatively loose, and most insulation fire bricks cannot directly contact molten metal.
Next issue we will continue to introduce why industrial kilns better be built with lightweight insulation bricks. Please stay tuned!
